All legal documents
Version 1.0, last updated 24 September 2026.
This policy applies to all material you send us and all work you ask us to do as a client of New Way Work (MediaTuig B.V.). “Material” means everything you provide or ask us to use, such as footage, audio, photos, music, graphics, fonts, logos and scripts. This policy applies alongside our terms and conditions. If the two conflict, the terms and conditions prevail.
1. Content we do not edit
1.1 We do not edit material, and we do not create work, that:
is illegal, or promotes or facilitates illegal activity;
contains any sexual content involving minors;
is sexually explicit, or shows intimate or sexual content of people who did not consent to it being recorded or shared;
incites hatred, discrimination or violence against people because of who they are, such as their origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation or disability;
harasses, threatens, bullies or humiliates a person, or exposes private information about someone to target them;
glorifies terrorism or violent extremism;
is a deceptive deepfake: synthetic or manipulated content that makes a real person appear to say or do something they did not, in a way that is meant to mislead;
misrepresents what a real person said, for example by cutting an interview so that someone appears to say the opposite of what they meant;
deceives consumers, for example fake testimonials or reviews presented as genuine;
infringes the copyright, trademark rights, portrait rights or privacy of others.
1.2 We never make deceptive political deepfakes, such as fake statements by politicians, candidates or public officials, or content designed to mislead voters, even with the consent of the people shown.
1.3 If we come across material that appears to show the sexual abuse of a child, we stop work immediately and report it to the competent authorities.
2. Your rights to the material
2.1 When you send us material or ask us to use it, you confirm that:
you own the material, or have all rights, licences and permissions needed for us to edit it and for you to use the result as you intend, in every channel, territory and period you plan to use it;
music is licensed for the intended use, including social media and paid advertising where relevant;
stock footage, photos, graphics, templates and sound effects are licensed for the intended use;
fonts you ask us to use are licensed for use in video, and you provide the font files or tell us where to get them;
you may use the trademarks, logos and other brand elements that appear in the work;
you have the consent or other legal basis needed for every recognisable person in the material, for the intended use (see section 3);
for minors, meaning people under 18, a parent or legal guardian has given consent;
publishing the work as you intend does not breach any law or anyone else’s rights.
2.2 If we source music, stock or other assets for a project, we agree with you beforehand whose licence covers them and for which use.
2.3 You remain responsible for the material you provide and for how you publish the work. If a third party makes a claim against us because one of the confirmations in 2.1 is incorrect, you indemnify us against that claim and its reasonable costs.
2.4 Rights in the delivered work are covered by our terms and conditions. Your source and brand materials remain yours.
3. Consent and releases
3.1 Video in which people are recognisable contains personal data, and portrait rights may apply. For the footage you give us, you are the controller under the GDPR. You are therefore responsible for having the consent or other legal basis needed for everyone in it, both for recording and for publication.
3.2 For people who play a central role, such as interviewees, presenters and actors, we recommend a written release that covers the intended use.
3.3 Tell us in the brief about any restrictions: people who did not give consent and must be removed or made unrecognisable, passages that must not be used, and versions for internal use only. We can blur or remove people as part of the agreed work.
3.4 We may ask you to show that consent was given, for example for minors, sensitive footage or synthetic content. If you cannot, we may decline that part of the work.
3.5 For synthetic faces, voices or statements, the written consent rules in our AI policy apply.
4. Sensitive footage
4.1 Some footage needs extra care. Examples are footage of children, of people in medical, care or other vulnerable situations, footage that reveals someone’s health, religion, ethnic origin or sexual orientation, and footage with confidential business information.
4.2 Tell us before you share such footage. We then agree who may see it, what must not appear on screen, how it reaches us and what happens to the files after delivery. For confidential footage, consider the Blackmagic Cloud workflow, in which the originals stay on your own storage, or a Mac mini at your office, which keeps the footage in your building.
4.3 Tell us in advance if footage contains graphic or distressing images, such as injuries or violence, so that we can prepare the editor who works on it. We may decline such work.
4.4 Our data processing agreement and information security policy describe how we protect your material.
5. Our right to refuse or stop work
5.1 We may refuse a request, or stop work that has started, if we reasonably believe that the material or the requested work breaches this policy or the law, infringes someone’s rights, or would put our editors at legal or personal risk where they live and work.
5.2 We tell you why, unless the law does not allow us to.
5.3 If material appears to be illegal, we may report it to the competent authorities.
5.4 In case of serious or repeated breaches, we may suspend or end the agreement in line with our terms and conditions.
6. Reporting a concern
6.1 Anyone can report a concern about work we edited or material we handle, including people who appear in a video and rights holders. Email info@newwaywork.nl and include:
what the concern is about;
where the content can be found, for example a link;
why you believe it breaches this policy or your rights;
how we can reach you.
6.2 We look into every report. Our clients decide where and how the work we edit is published. If a report concerns a client’s video, we contact that client and help resolve the issue. If it concerns work in our own portfolio, we deal with it ourselves.
6.3 To report a security vulnerability, see our responsible disclosure policy.
